Carnival is coming! 

Join us for three nights from Thursday 17th to Saturday 19th of February, for a Carnival evening to remember, with Sambossa, featuring Xavi Osmir and Paul Rumbol. Click Carnival to see the full programme.

Each week we offer a programme of Bossa Nova, Tango and Cuban Jazz, played by musicians from Brazil, Argentina and Cuba, accompanied by a cocktail bar offering Brazilian Caiprinhas and an evening menu of Brazilian specialties.

Over the next few weeks we have an exciting roster of musicians. Performers include Gustavo Marques, whom some of you will already know from his performances at the Royal Albert Hall, the Royal Festival hall, and the Brazilian Embassy, and Jandira Silva, fresh from playing the 606Club!

We offer a simple evening menu with several Brazilian specialties to let you really savour the mood. Priority is given to diners, so please let us know if you would like to dine and we will reserve you a table.

Musicians playing in the next few weeks

Xavi Osmir is an exciting Brazilian percussionist, well known for his work in the UK with bands such as Batuke Samba and Viramundo. Xavi is joined by Paul Rumbol on guitar to deliver an exciting mix of Samba rythms and classic Bossa Nova. So come along and lose yourself in the sounds and infectious rythms of the Samba!

Jandira Silva hails from Rio de Janiero. Jandira is a highly talented singer whose voice conveys the power of popular Brazilian music. Singing professionally since 1997, her search for wider artistic horizons have taken her from Brazil to Lisbon where she became the resident vocalist at the Casino do Estoril. Now living in London she performs a wonderful selection of rhythmic, enchanting and seductive songs.

Buenos Aires-born vocalist and guitarist Guillermo Rozenthuler has become one of the leading voices of Argentine Tango and South American song in the UK. A soulful singer and a versatile improviser, his originals and his distinctive take on popular songs from Brazil, Argentina, Cuba and Mexico are sometimes influenced by jazz and ethnic vocal styles.

Gustavo Marques, a Brazilian singer and guitarist who, in the past 10 years, has built a strong following throughout London. Gustavo has played at many of the top London venues, including the Royal Festival Hall, as well as being a regular contributor to events at the Brazilian Embassy. Gustavo plays great Brazilian music, including bossa nova and classics by Tom Jobim, Caetano Veloso and many others.
